War Diaries of The King's Liverpool Regiment
The diaries contain daily reports on operations, intelligence summaries and other material and mainly activity in Belgium, France and Germany. Being Unit diaries they don't usually contain information relating to individual soldiers.
Whilst many maps and plans were included in the original diaries some confidential material has been removed and this accounts for the absence of some appendices referred to on the covers of some of the diaries.
The diaries are available to view at the National Archives. Copies are held at Merseyside Maritime Museum.
This information sheet can help in researching a past member of the Regiment and a database providing information on soldiers serving in the King's Regiment during the First World War can be found here.
